Who I Am

The Short and Long Versions

I’m Jim Stepnowski — a U.S. Army veteran, SEO and web management professional, and the founder of Jim’s Content Clinic. I’ve spent 20+ years leading teams, building content systems, and developing curriculum that actually works. Now I help businesses and creators get their content healthy — with clear diagnostics, structured workflows, and practical AI-assisted solutions.

I didn’t come to content strategy through a marketing textbook. I came through two decades of leading people, building training systems, and figuring out how to make complex things simple — first in the Army, and then in the professional world as an Assistant Director of SEO and Web Management.

That background shaped everything about how I work. I think in systems. I teach instead of lecture. And I believe the best content strategy is one you can actually execute — not a 40-page deck that collects dust.

Jim’s Content Clinic grew out of a simple observation: most businesses don’t have a content problem — they have a content process problem. They’re producing without a plan, publishing without structure, and wondering why nothing sticks. I built the Clinic to fix that.
